Privacy Policy

DittoTek LLC runs the website dittotek.com, a client file exchange at cloud.dittotek.com, a website chat assistant and a remote-support service. This page explains what each one collects, where it is kept, who can see it and how long we keep it.
Who we are
DittoTek LLC is a wide-format printer service and repair business based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Questions about this policy go to service@dittotek.com.
What we collect
- Service requests. When you use the request form, email or call us, we keep your name, company, phone, email, service address, equipment make and model, and the problem you describe. We use this only to schedule, quote, perform and bill the work.
- Files you exchange with us on cloud.dittotek.com, along with their names, sizes and dates.
- Account details, if we give you a file-exchange account: your name, email address and a password stored only in scrambled (hashed) form.
- Website chat. Your most recent message and the assistant's reply, with the date and a one-way scrambled code in place of your IP address. If you ask the chat to pass on a service request, the name, contact and machine details you give are sent to Michael so he can reply.
- Remote support. When you start a session: the session ID, your device name, your IP address, and when the session started and how long it ran.
- Access records: the date, time, IP address and browser type of visits and sign-in attempts to our servers. We use these to keep the services secure and to fix problems.
- Payments. Card payments are handled by Stripe. DittoTek never sees or stores your full card number.
dittotek.com has no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. The file exchange sets only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in.
How the chat and remote support work
The chat assistant is an AI model that runs on DittoTek's own server. Your messages are not sent to an outside AI company.
Remote-support sessions connect through a relay server that DittoTek owns. We can see and control your computer only while you have the session open and have accepted it, and you can end it at any time. We do not copy your files unless you ask us to.
Where it is kept
The dittotek.com website and our email are hosted by Hostinger. The file exchange, chat assistant, remote-support relay and our business records run on servers that DittoTek owns and operates in Arizona. We do not use a commercial cloud storage provider for your files. Connections are encrypted with HTTPS.
Who can see it
Only DittoTek staff who need your information to do the work, and the people a file has been deliberately shared with. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not use it for anything other than the job it was given for.
These outside services help run the site. None of them receives the files you upload.
- Hostinger hosts the website and our email.
- Formspree delivers the website request form to our email.
- Stripe processes card payments.
- Google Fonts supplies the heading typeface, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
- GitHub hosts the Mac and Linux remote-support downloads.
- No-IP routes connections to our servers, and Let's Encrypt issues our HTTPS certificates.
We will disclose information if a valid legal order requires it.
How long we keep it
- Chat records: up to 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- Access records: up to 90 days, then deleted or overwritten.
- Files: as long as the job or service relationship needs them, and removed when that ends or when you ask.
- Service requests, quotes, work orders and invoices: as long as the service relationship lasts and as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email service@dittotek.com and we will act on the request promptly. We may need to keep billing records the law requires, and deleting files that an open job depends on may mean we cannot finish that job.
Security
We limit access to our servers, keep their software updated, and protect accounts against password guessing. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your own copies of anything important and tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
Children
These are business services and are not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
